PARENTS OF CHILDREN 1ST – 6TH GRADE

We love the opportunity to minister to your children! The past year has presented us with many challenges. As we were unable to provide children’s classes for a while, we continued to minister with online children’s services and special Facebook live events. Many of your children participated and we hope these activities were meaningful.  We are thrilled to be able to provide your children with in person, age appropriate, Biblical teaching at church, once again!

We have taken every precaution to ensure that our classrooms are clean, sanitized, and safe for your child. Please note the following procedures that we have instituted for your families health and safety:

  • GRADES 1 – 6 ARE PRESENTLY MEETING UPSTAIRS.  Children should be brought directly to the classroom upon arrival. Children are greeted and accepted into the classroom at 10:20 AM.  As you enter the opening in the center of the balcony, there will be a place to sign your child in and share necessary information with your child’s teachers. Greeters will be present to assist you in dropping your child off. One adult should be responsible for dropping the child off, to maintain distance and avoid crowding.

  • You will be ask to fill out a short form to register your child. Your child’s temperature will be taken. A child who has a temperature of 100 degrees or over will not be allowed to enter. If your child or any family member has been exposed to Covid 19 in the past 14 days or if your child has had any fever or symptoms of illness in the past 72 hours, please do not bring your child to the classroom. Please understand that our desire is to provide a safe and healthy environment. NO ADULTS OTHER THAN TEACHING STAFF WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE CHILD’S CLASSROOM.

  • You will be given a numbered lanyard that will be used to pick your child up following the session. Your child will be given a tag with a matching number.

  • Your child will be directed to a seat in the classroom. We will be observing physical distancing as much as possible.

  • PARENTS, TEACHERS, AND CHILDREN ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK. We will have disposable masks available, but encourage you to bring your own from home.

  • NO FOOD WILL BE SERVED AND NO FOOD ITEMS SHOULD BE BROUGHT INTO THE CLASSROOM. BE SURE ALL FOOD AND DRINKS ARE CONSUMED BEFORE ENTERING THE CLASSROOM.

  • Activities and teaching will be done in the format of a Children’s Worship experience. Every effort will be made to provide sanitized teaching materials and individual learning supplies, maintaining contactless guidelines. Music, games, and videos will be utilized to provide Biblical, age appropriate and fun learning experiences.

  • Please encourage your child to use the restroom before arriving. There are restroom facilities upstairs, but it will be much easier to maintain distance, supervise children, and provide meaningful teaching if children are not having to leave the classroom to go to the restroom during the church hour.

  • Parents should practice contactless greeting of other adults and children, and instruct their children to do the same (no handshakes or hugs please).

  • Children should not bring personal items into the classroom.
