LETTER FROM BROTHER TODD
God called us to reach the lost and to plant a church with a simple goal - to help people connect with God so they can reach their full potential according to Matthew 28:19. People that maybe didn't fit the mold of church for whatever reason. People that made a decision that "Knowing God" was not for them.
With the help of the initial Core Group, 15 people committed to seeing this dream become a reality, & Circle J Cowboy Church began March of 2006. That Sunday, more than 50 people attended the first service at the Oaklawn Orpy building in Texarkana, Texas.
From the beginning, our focus at CJCC has been on reaching those who do not know God personally and building relationships through outreach events, Small Groups, the life-giving message of The Gospel and the passion of joy of Sunday services. The simple style of CJCC brought immediate growth. In our first year the church grew to 150 people in weekly attendance and most of those people committed their lives to Christ. At the same time, we helped plant churches through the Texas Fellowship of Cowboy Churches now known as the American Fellowship of Cowboy Churches. Today 10% of all the tithes and offerings go to starting new churches through the AFCC and to other local and regional ministry opportunities to reach people of Christ.
Today, God is moving more than He ever has in this church! We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to seek God with passion.
